Recent surveys and studies indicate that half of all lifetime mental health issues start by the age of 14, highlighting the need for early intervention.

In response, the PlayWellMinds program targets adolescents aged 12-17, aiming to support their mental well-being through structured and engaging activities.

The program focuses on helping users develop positive thinking patterns, articulate their emotions and feelings, and analyze situations by reflecting on their feelings, reactions, and desired reactions.

By encouraging repetition, the app seeks to establish routines that contribute to the mental resilience of young people.

From idea to MVP in 3 months

A minimum viable product (MVP) app, crucial for the program's implementation, was developed in collaboration with Prototyp using the Flutter framework. This development choice ensured the app's compatibility across both Android and iOS platforms.

The MVP has since been launched in a pilot study involving various teams and school classes, allowing for real-world testing and feedback collection.

Product Design & UI

Our contributions to this project included enhancing the app's user experience and interface, integrating gamification elements to foster user engagement, and refining the overall product design.

Additionally, we created the app's visual identity and devised a badge system to reward users for completing tasks, further motivating their participation in the program.
